I sometimes consider my painting style impressionistic.

If my Napoleonic troops en masse create a similar impression to the contemporary aquatints published in Jenkins' Martial Achievements &c. I'm perfectly happy.

"Speed painting" for me is to get them painted before the paint on the palette dries out…

Speed painting for me is if I can finish a vehicle in under 5 hours.

No. Even though I am a solitaire gamer I still want a good paint job and that takes me longer in not only the actual painting but finishing a project. Maybe it's the engineer in me.

All my painting is speed painting, but it's still glacial.

My painting moves in spurts. But when I do paint, I make the most of it! It takes a while, but when I finish a group, it is often a large number of figures. When I finish a group, it is very satisfying. Wish I could keep the desire to paint switched on -- I would be out of figures to paint within a year, easy. Cheers!
