So the Second Saturday Scrum club HAS played old school Battletech before, using Tabletop Simulator. This time, we played the Alpha Strike variant for the first time, and had a bona fide blast playing the game. Me? I couldn't tell you one mech from the other but by the end of the session, I was somewhat converted! Here is our AAR and a host of photos.

Some awesome old school mechs in there.

Alpha strike is a great way to rekindle the mecha love.

I agree, Louie. I broke out a big box of painted mechs from the 2011 introductory box that Catalyst produced and made Alpha Strike cards for all of them (plus various sundry flea market purchases), but that is another post.

Ready made cards are as also avaliable on the master unit list battletech site.
