Osprey's latest offering is "The Silver Bayonet," which has me very interested. link I am looking for interesting and unique miniatures for this range. I know North Star is offering an official line of miniatures, but I would like to consider others. What are your favorite blackpowder/flintlock/Napoleonic fantasy miniatures? Note that this needs to be, essentially, human characters, so the "Flintloque" game itself will not do. Also ideally this will be a manufacturer / etsy workshop that offers figures by-the-bit. That is, a pack of torsos, a pack of heads, a pack of arms. And mix-and-match as you please. I seem to recall seeing some excellent ones out there, but I can't find them right now. Help? Thanks! |

To be sure, Alternative Armies' Flintloque would be a good starting point. |

But it's not, as I pointed out. Silver Bayonet is a humano-centric world. The characters are indubitably human. Flintlocke characters are the classic fantasy races in Napoleonic era: elves, dwarves, trolls, orcs, etc. I'm looking for humans. |

Something like anvil Industries – where they sell mix-and-match components – but more napoleonic-era focused would be perfect: link |

Lucid Eye link link West Wind Vampire Wars link Elite Wargames have some female Napoleonics elitewargamesandmodels.com I expect Reaper, Foundry and the like will have some suitable critters & humans too. |

Huscarle, Some of those look interesting. A couple of the Lucid Eye ones have potential – "The comeback Tour" is a cool concept – but generally speaking a bit too Wild West-ish. WW's Vampire Wars looks to be the most promising, so far. I did fiddle about with the Reaper Figure finder last night but every time I put in Napoleonic or Black Powder it only gave me piratical figures. I'll try to find more effective ways of searching their catalog. |

Zephyr40k, You probably need to look at the Reaper Savage Worlds & Chronoscope minis, although it doesn't look like there is much there. Brigade Games have some interesting minis link The Perry Miniatures Retreat from Moscow range link Ironclad Minis are probably a bit late, being mainly Victorian, but a few could be useful like the zombies link |

Those are some great ideas, Huscarle. Thanks. |

Some of those Victorian models could actually work for Napoleonic era games – it turns out the Top Hat was invented at the end of the seventeenth century, earlier than I expected: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_hat The bowler hat, however, was invented in 1849, so unfortunately those very cool Victorian figures wearing one of those won't work. But lots of potential there! Thanks. And yeah, those Perry miniatures are fantastic, as expected from the master himself. :) |

Also something I was thinking about was a build-your-own approach. Something like what Anvil Industries has going on: anvilindustry.co.uk They have some excellent torsos, legs, and heads, but the weapons are all way too sci-fi for this game. Does anyone know of a resin napoleonics bits supplier like this? |

if 15/18mm is an option look at Bluemoon |

You can easily greenstuff a bowler hat into a top hat. It is worth considering the various Alamo miniatures out there. If you decide to try historical multipart plastic box sets the Victrix Napoleonics tend to offer more dynamic options than Warlord Games or the Perry miniatures. You can usually find loose sprues on eBay if you do not want whole boxes. |
