Both were free on Youtube T-34: Basically the Great Escape in a T-34. Some fun graphics and an interesting look at what it was like to be a tanker in WWII. Can't help but wonder what Uncle Joe would have done to our heroes after the war though. White Tiger: Hard to describe, maybe a 'supernatural tank movie" The Tiger in question appears to be a mocked up JS II, but at least they made an effort. Lots of interesting wrecks & tanks in the background: A Pz IV, a coupe of BTs, a Matilda and even an attempt at a Grant. Both were kind of fun in a 'rainy day activity when you have nothing else to do' sort of way. Probably won't watch them again though. |

T34 is on my list to watch. The Beast is up there as well. I have over $20 USD in Google money left over from doing Google surveys, and have been spending it on renting movies on YouTube. I just have to be in the mood to read subtitles. |

"Can't help but wonder what Uncle Joe would have done to our heroes after the war though". Korvessa, nothing if they were not Nazi employees (chief in the barracks; informant, etc.). Not only the rank and file, but also many of the generals who were captured, did not have any problems after their release. The film "White Tiger" is mysticism. "White Tiger" is an incarnate demon of war, "nameless tankman" – a messenger of higher powers, destined to resist him. To understand the film correctly (and even in translation), it is advisable to read the book. |
