So, I particularly like the setting for the 2nd edition of Squadron Strike: an alternate history back in the age of vacuum tubes where Brazil ended up a super-power. The scenarios are connected with especially good fiction and I'd love to have a complete novel based on it.

The game system is very strong as well. While I think that you're generally better off with the plastic bits for tabletop gaming, Wargame Vault has the PDF edition as their deal of the day link . It's cheap as heck in this format. 50% off of 15 bucks rounds down to the cost of two GW figures!
