I was blocked from posting on tmp for eleven days recently. I thought this odd, as, though I admit I got a little more fiery than was absolutely necessary (seems I'm human) the reaction seemed a bit… excessive?

But I'm in agreement that I overstepped, so, hey, accept the pillory and move on.

Anyway, I had also gotten off FB sometime back, and I confess that I had probably come to spend an inordinate amount of time here.

So, having a little extra spare time on my hands, I decided I would do some research. What I discovered was absolutely terrifying and stomach turning.

It really upset me, I admit, andhad me questioning my priorities.

To put it briefly, I heard a tale of younger third world persons essentially being… hmm. Not quite sure what term to use. Let's say "pressured"? into life of homosexual prostitution under the guise of charitable support and employment.

Again, pretty hideous stuff.

This left me in something of a moral quandary, which was, of course, no quandary at all. Simply an issue of giving up something I found mildly enjoyable that would involve me promoting, atleast tacitly, something utterly vile and morally reprehensible.

Again, that is a choice that is no choice.

So, my leisure time will have to he otherwise directed in the future.

Sorry to he so opaque, but I'm sure most of the readers of this post (for whatever brief duration it remains on the site) are probably pretty well aware of what I'm referring to.

Well tbh, I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. So let me see if I get this straight:

1: I was DH'ed for something.

2: I spent a lot of time also on social media/FB.

3: While in the DH I did some "research". Can't tell you what mind you, it's all very hush-hush. Can't tell you "why" I was looking this up…as well… it's all very hush-hush.

4: I found something on the internet that really repulsed me. (Join the club. It's the internet.)

5: The subject matter was a tale of someone (I can't tell who, or what, or when, or even if was an actual account or an anecdote, as it's all very hush-hush ya know… And I can't/won't say if I did any further checking to validate the factuality of this tale that I read), but that said person was "put" into a position that well…you know…

6: So I was left at a crossroads of figuring out what to do…to continue enjoying something that I (in your own words), "mildly enjoyed", or give it up as well…in my research it seems to indicate based on what I found out that whatever it is I have to give up, seems to support what allegations I have researched. (None of which can be or directly be described here as all of my research is very hush-hush mind you…)

7: So now I speak of my departure….

8: My apologies for being very vague, but I'm going to give the readers of this post the chance to figure out what I am talking about without actually talking about it, because you know…ESP and telepathy, and all of that.

9: And now I take my leave of you.

So did I get the comprehension of this right, or did I miss something?

Yeah, it was clear a while back that some people disapproved of the Editor for more general reason, with no accusations of criminality. So now, people are throwing stories around where there's a personal vendetta.

Is it possible that this is true? Yes. However, I'd have to see actual proof somewhere, and FB clearly isn't all sunshine and roses.

We need to find out who has been turned into a newt (and got better)?

Well I must say honestly that I interpreted the OP very differently.

I thought the OP was hinting that while on his break from TMP he got interested in homosexual pornography before his "research" showed that those depicted in pornography are exploited during its production.

Seriously, go back and read the OP again. Makes more sense than a conspiracy theory about TMP.

Well, I'm appauled at it. Apparently someone has knowledge of people being forced into prostitution and hasn't taken their evidence to the proper authorities. Not reporting it is endorsing such behaviour.

I don't think he was a frother as his poost here don't line up with their attitudes. I am guessing he was mad at being DH and went serching for stuff and stumbled on th frothers stuff.

Interesting that the very thread (one of them, anyway) that got him the DH had him saying, challenging, that he was going to "get it", but he had to say it. So after throwing down the gauntlet, he's crying that it was picked up and he was punished.
That type shows up quite often, but don't last long.

I'll check the F Lads later to see if they picked up on it.

Attended college (USM) and ROTC (Bowdoin) with Allen Curtis. Still miss him. A really smart guy with an edge on his (short) shoulder (smile). In ranks, he was about 5'6" and I am 6'5".
