Does anyone make 28mm downed American and Japanese pilots for World War 2? I would like to incorporate the search for downed pilots into future games. I plan to use Chain of Command for the main rules. I'm not sure yet how to incorporate the search for the pilots into the game yet. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts on how to do that, I would really appreciate the suggestions! |

Brother Vinni does a Japanese pilot but you do have to buy the zombie version of him as well. link |

I really like the Warlord ones! It doesn't look like they are still available though. Seems to be just my luck with the Warlord figures that I like. I'd like to get the Chesty Puller figure, but don't need the rules it is bundled with. Any other manufacturers? |

I have a Tamiya 1/48 scale kit "WWII US Navy Pilots w/Moto-Tug". They are very tall next to my 28mm scale miniatures. I have considered a conversion, cutting a section out at the waist and re-assembling to make a shorter & stouter figure. Comparing Japanese pilots in Tamiya 'Zero' & 'Frank' kits, the seated pilot figures are much closer in proportion to my metal Warlord & Eureka 28mm miniatures. They are both seated so can be used seated (waiting patiently for rescue perhaps…), or some conversion work would be need to make kneeling or standing versions. The Zero kit has a group of groundcrew figures waving off their plane so legs could be grafted onto the pilot figure torso. Either way some work is required. |

Both Pulp Figures and Artizan make a figure wearing an A-2 jacket and crusher hat holding a 45 ACP. Rather perfect for downed Aircrew through Korea. I have even used them for SEAVIEW crew, and PT Boat skippers. Great and versatile figures. Artizan makes a couple of RAF pilots that would work as well. |
