"British military budget problems" Topic

UK military continues to suffer from large budget shortfalls.

Even supposed increases don't cover cost of inflation with real cuts of 1.5% over 3 year period (2022-24).

Sadly this applies to all areas of public life.

Same with the budget for the USA, and I suspect a lot of other countries too.

Interesting that there is unlimited money for illegal aliens, and huge budget increases to combat "climate change" and to aid other countries around the globe, but not enough money to keep up with the real "combat" equipment needs for our military personnel.

China and Japan seem to be the exceptions to the rule. They ARE having real, significant budget increases year after year, especially of late.

Not sure what Russia's budgets are of late. They have lots of ambitious plans, but little money to put them into production. Of course, the current War on Energy in one country IS aiding Russia, Iran, and OPEC, so I suspect they'll have more money to allot to "defense" (offense) projects if/when they so choose.

Yes, the USA currently has a lot of places to spend tax payer $ on many other places than the Military. The list is long but to mention where that $ is going will probably get me DH'd …

So DC … spend away … 🤩 And they are and will !💸💰
