The Little Wars TV channel has new fast-play AWI rules for sale.
Is anyone looking at these rules. It is pricey for a short rule set but money is going to the American Battlefield trust.

Ironically enough I placed an order for them last night. I believe they are called "Live Free or Die", nothing seemed particularly ground breaking and different mechanics seemed like ones I had seen in other rulesets. That being said, I liked how the different mechanisms worked with each other.

The one thing that may be a turnoff is the number of stands one needs for battles. It seemed like a decent amount but maybe not. I will order the PDF scenario book too.

I bought both. Supports the Battlefield Trust so that's good. The rules look solid. Won't know more until we play them. I also was not excited about the unit sizes. I may play around with it. I prefer 3 or 4 stand units for my 1/72 20mm figs. The scenario book looks pretty nice. Lots of scenarios covering the war. 2 scenarios for Monmouth. Early and later ones.

Thanks

John

They have a video up with a play through. Reminds me of ‘Loose Files and American Scramble', except I don't recall seeing a variable movement system like ‘Loose Files'.

I'm wondering if they would work for the ACW with some minor tweeks. Mainly because I already have hundreds of stands of 15/18mm ACW troops.

They will work its just a game mechanics. depends how much historical input is included. but then there's fire and fury regimental and brigade system readily available

From what I've seen, I'll stick with the original Loose Files!

I'll look forward to some AARs on this one.

I actually was impressed by the time and thought they put into it. On their Patreon they have hours of discussion about the development of the. Quite interesting from a rules perspective.

Thanks

John

Looks good. I bought the hard copy. I'm looking forward to some variants! Might be easily adapted to SYW and early NAP.

Is the hard copy available at this time? L.W.'s website states that it would not be ready for mailing until the 27th of September. It is now October.
