Since today was September 15th, I thought I would check and see if the PEL was listed yet. And it's right there on the Historicon website as promised. 50 pages long. Nice lineup. Hope to see some old friends.

It looks like there are a large number of games. It should be a great Convention.

Things still are masks if your venue wants so far, store is open yet at a school I had to do a job at was mandatory.
If they let me I'll be there

so compared to the past, Is "50 pages of games" a lot?

Martyn K16 Sep 2021 5:41 a.m. PST

I just found the 2018 list of games on line and it was 49 pages, so it seems about right. ( I didn't go into detail and check the type font size).
In any case, I think that 50 pages of games is a great achievement and shows that a lot of people want to make the convention a success.
A lot of credit should go to the board of HMGS who have put in a lot of work under difficult circumstances.
I am excited about Historicon, but still have an unbelievable amount of work to do to get my two games ready.

Excellent news

the gamemasters usually show up…my worry is "will there be enough players"?

oldnorthstate16 Sep 2021 6:54 p.m. PST

Corzin I share your concern about having enough players, particularly if conditions are perceived to get "worse" we'll lose both players and GM's.

If you run it they will come.

Is registration open? I see the PEL and there's a registration link somewhere on the website, but it doesn't seem to take me anywhere.

Corzin, I fully expect "less" gaming. Guys are going to shop more and just gab and grab more. Not out of malice, but because they miss each other. GMs, (me included) can only provide the settings. This will be one time where if I lay all of this out and fail to draw interest, I will forgive the masses.

"If you run it they will come." Let's hope you're right.
