Hi all. Just finished this 1:35 scale kit from Hobby Boss of a Panzer 38(t) Ausf G in Bulgarian colours, 1944. More pics on my blog at vellamike61.blogspot.com

Hope you enjoy!

What a fascinating subject.

My first thought was to wonder if this would ever have fired shot in anger at either side. I knew Bulgaria refused to invade the USSR as Bulgarian/Russian friendship goes back centuries. I had an idea that they, like the Finns might have fought to remove German presence once the Soviet Army was at hand.

Wiki tells me they indeed declared war against the Germans, but there was no fighting. Indeed, at one stage, Bulgaria was at war against the UK, USA, USSR and Germany! Like the Finns, they simply could not win and geography played a huge part in that.

That is a very well done kit! And whoever commanded that crate in 1944 was a brave Bulgarian indeed considering what they would have been facing when Bulgaria joined the Allies and started fighting the Germans

Very nicely done.
