Hi guys,
now I have a new table 180cm X 90cm. I'd like starting play mass battles. Any suggestion?
Thanks
Roby

Find some gamers in your area, invite them over with their armies. That's the easy way to start. grin

Suggested rules: Warmaster (in any variant). My favorite "Grand Tactical" wargame. OOP, but often available on eBay, etc.. There's also a fan variant out there called Warmaster Revolution, but I don't know much about it. There's a recent thread or two which reference it, so look further along the Front Page here.

What periods are you interested in?

Editor Bill is right – would be good to have troops for a period people are interested in, but as long as the rules are relatively simple in my experience most gamers will give them a go – we just had a Black Powder SYW game at my place with the local gaming group; I am the only one who has SYW troops but I think they had a good time (especially the chap whose light cavalry routed a bunch of Prussian dragoons)
