Not sure if it is simple enough for your tastes, but PSC does 1/72 plastic kit that can be built either as Marder III or Panzer 38t:

These two are from PSC. Quick to construct and sturdy for gaming. The crews are from AB, not PSC.

Thanks. They are glued, I've yet to try magnetising crew figures.
