Hi long time lurker first time poster. I have recently picked up a copy of the 28mm skirmish game Spector operations but at this moment only have 20mm miniature's My question is are their Any Spector operations players who have playtested range interval conversions from 28mm to 20mm. I've tryed cm's but just doesn't look right. For non S.O. player's range works differently from other ruleset's I've come across Eg in mongooses battlefield evolution an assault rifle has a maximum range of 24" Where as a Spector operations assault rifle has a maximum unmodified close range of 24" and then has 7 "range intervals" for a callmaximum range of a 168" Very different |

Do you need to change it at all? |

I do not have the rules in question, but the previous poster rises a valid point – do you need to change it at all? Assuming that ground scales equal figure scale and that your 20 mm figures are 1/72, then the stated maximum game range of 168" for assault rifle would equal 336 yards in real world terms – an entirely reasonable range. That said, if you really want to adjust the scale, then multiplying ALL distances by a factor of 0.75 might be a practical choice (giving the assault rifle a maximum range of 126" on tabletop). |
