"A container with a Soviet submarine's nuclear reactor was discovered during survey work in the Kara Sea in northern Russia, authorities there said on Thursday.


Scientists are now due to investigate what was described as a "potentially dangerous object."

The reactor is said to have come from the Soviet nuclear-powered K-19 submarine…"

I less interested in that than the fact that presumably for it to be "found", they must have lost it at some point, which IS a bit scary when we're talking about nuclear reactors.

Makes me wonder what else they've lost too, e.g. like those much smaller, and more portable, suitcase nukes they claim to have.

I wonder how many of those they've "lost", or "misplaced"?

Where is the submarine?

Apparently, this was salvaged from the contaminated submarine, placed in containment, and dumped in the ocean.
