Any recommendations on books covering this other theater of important operations in the islands during the AWI period?

Nope, but I do think it is an interesting theater of operations.

I enjoyed this book, and it has some interesting color uniform plates in it.

This book covers the Revolutionary war as a larger, global struggle and focuses on events after Yorktown. It covers events in Caribbean.
