As I reported about a year ago, stick a man in quarantine with a 3D printer and all kinds of mischief can happen. When Bombshell released the STL files for their rocket bikes, I bought all of them I could and started printing. It took many tries and I got better at it-- they were the first prints on my 3D printer. Soon I had a cadre of bikes from those STLs and some Thingiverse files. Now I have the elements for the game, I had them painted by much better painters than me to make them look good from three feet up. The results are here in the link below, along with some discussion of the game design I'm working on. If any of you have a good idea for vector flight dynamics in a game form, I'm all ears. Jeez. What is it about posting in the morning on TMP? This is the third time I've posted one post multiple times by glitch. Sorry about this. |

Very nice! I get a Roller-Ball vibe, corporate/nation backed drivers racing to settle disputes. And a meta-game in the back (bike upgrades, side bets, spying attempts, vandalism attempts, bribery (of mechanics, drivers, and judges), etc). |

That's pretty spot on for the setting, Stryderg. I based the game world on the "commodity power bloc" setup you see in the original Rollerball sort of combined with Frederick Pohl's JEM Earth Setting. |
