This might be old news, but I ran across a series of YouTube videos on various topics related to the Fleet Air Arm and the RN in WW2. Each involves comments from various veterans who had personal "hands-on" experience with the aircraft and weapons in British service.

Partial listing -

They are not doctoral theses by any stretch, but I learned a lot of interesting things.
