My group here in Dallas also used 25mm Hinchcliffe figures as they were sold by our shop where we played. I had 2 regts. of Tory foot & 2 squadrons of horse. |

Used to in 15mm. Still 15mm but for Sharpractice. If I had to restart batlles, it woukd be in 10mm 1 such a full, outstanding range with Pendraken ( and can add variety with Old Glory leaders, sk, cav…) 2 always had a pb with ground scale vs table size and unit sises. Why? Plenty of funny small units you want. To have them look decent they need, say 16 figs on 2 ranks or 9 on one, probably 24 if you take off casualty stands. That gives you for say, 240 men something like 1cm = from 8 to 10-12m? So your table is 1,5 to ( now mine) 3 km deep. The same year I played a part of Brandywine at Historicon, and went there… Was struck by the absolute need of space, of pushing out the irrelevant "end of the world". And never could find a proper way to. Small battle, still have space. With space you can recoil and not be lost etc. |

Anything smaller than 28mm is a waste of beautiful uniforms. |

I've stuck with 25/28mm because back in the late 70s when I started, there were no decent 15mm figures. Minifigs strips? Nope. |

15mm with mainly Frontier & Polly Oliver figures. I'm frequently tempted by 40mm Sash & Saber. I've been using the Little Wars TV rules recently. |
