Afternoon all,

Just a quick post this weekend due to my house being broken into!

A quick reminder for those who missed it, my local war-games club refought the Battle of Medina de Rioseco recently. Did history repeat itself?

Find out on the link below!

Sorry to hear about your house.

Nice looking game.

Looked good.
We have played the same battle a couple of times. We also allowed Cuesta to get involved earlier than in reality which makes it more interesting. IIRC, though, we had him starting further back and so the French had to weigh up the choice of going hard at Blake to take advantage of the exposed flank but risk getting caught between the two.
In our games, the French cavalry were very significant – I think they were in reality but it is a long time since I read about it.

Great report and hope nothing major was taken/lost in the house break in

Nice post, subscribed to blog.

Sorry about the break-in. Had one ourselves last April and though nothing was taken thanks to the burglar alarm going off, it still left us pretty shaken. Screws up your mind and makes you reluctant to leave home for more than a few minutes.
