Wolfhag, for a short timer on the way back to the world,
I thought Jack looked pretty squared away. But, I might
add not as squared away as we had to be "back in the day".
Sorry Jack, I just couldn't resist.

No. But a very sincere "Thank you" to all who served— with the full understanding that "Thank you" is woefully inadequate.

Just Jack Supporting Member of TMP21 Aug 2021 11:31 a.m. PST

Indeed!

Semper Fi, Wolf and Sam ;)

If it's squared away you want, here's me getting ready to leave Iraq a couple years later:

Put that Marine on a recruiting poster!!!!!!!!!!

Jack's dad was also a VN vet Marine too.

My son was in A'stan, Iraq, Somalia, Kuwait, Saudi, Yemen, Egypt and probably some other places he should not have been. It's humbling to compare my service to his, and you guys, as there is no comparison. Chesty would be proud.

I know the younger generation gets dissed a lot but I think this generation of Marines is the best ever (no comment on the politics), much better than when I was in. I'm jealous. When my son deployed I told him I'd give my left nut to go with him. Thankfully, he did fine without me (of course).
