Hello everyone,

Please, for the wars of Burgundy, which manufacture sells, 28 mm figurines of Swiss pikemen on their knees?

Thank you.

Griefbringer19 Aug 2021 9:20 a.m. PST

I have to admit that at the moment I cannot think of any 28 mm kneeling pikemen from any manufacturer.

It's not a very good match, but if you are desperate maybe you could convert from Irregular's M68 kneeling crossbowman figure:

For other kneeling figures, Perrys do make 15th century Italian handgunner and crossbowman in kneeling poses, which would be a bit closer in style to Swiss.

Not easy to convert into pikemen, though.

thank you everyone ,

I continue to search, but who still made Swiss from this era?

Griefbringer20 Aug 2021 5:17 a.m. PST

For later 15th century Swiss in general, at least Wargames Foundry, Perry Miniatures and Steel Fist Miniatures produce 28 mm figures that are pretty compatible with each other.

Yes thank you, but alas there is not what I need.

Why would you want pikemen on their knees? There is no historical source (that I know of) that mentions any infantry using a kneeing position, especially not the Swiss.

Except, perhaps, for a short prayer…
There is no mini for that, alas. If in need I would probably cut and greenstuff some of the Perry WoTR infantry for that.

Yes but I continue to search but it would also be necessary to know which manufacture sells Swiss of these wars? Otherwise I will manage.

>necessary to know which manufacture sells Swiss

Griefbringer is right on with Perry, Foundry, Steel Fist.

Except these there is Old Glory, but their headgear varies from medieval helmets to strange barets and they are 45° monopose, so I cannot really recommend them.

Miriton has some characters:

And then there is this old TMP-thread with Griefbringer already in it :-)

Good luck, and show us what you made out of these :-)

BTW: Mirliton has actually these half kneeling, though they are Italians for ~1520. link

@Puster

Alas, it's impossible to show you what I do because I take my photos with my cell phone, then put them on my laptop and then I don't know how to put them on TMP.
