One of the new lists in L' Art de la Guerre is the Iroquois nation.
I have never faced an American Indian army before. Scads of warriors dedicated to getting into contact and mixing it up.
From the wilds of New Carlisle, Pennsylvania, during an event called "OttoCon"

That'll learn 'em to take on the Iroquois Confederacy

Thanks for sharing!

Nice report and analysis. Though with no metallic weapons I'd have thought that they should be downgraded to ordinary or raw (or whatever the worst quality is called). More troops again, but easier to kill.

It's not about being historical, but providing a means to put varied troop types on the board. And in a tournament, that means metallurgical realities are ignored.

But the rules set could be easily adapted as you say for scenarios.

That's why I typically don't enjoy those types of match-ups. A few stands of heavy cav with some infantry support would have destroyed and routed the whole bunch. Different people enjoy different things. Having fun is the important part.

I especially like the Korean army. It is not something that you see a lot of on the gaming table.

You are right there, the cavalry should have cut a swath there, but the dice failed me more times than not on contact, then the cavalry was overwhelmed.

As long as you enjoyed yourself.

The Iroquois was no different than an army of Gauls or Dacians. Mass hordes of highly motivated warriors.
