Early this year I finally pulled the trigger on a project I've been mulling for a few years, to grow my 1/72 Napoleonic collection for Peninsula War battles. The answers I got to my questions about Spanish figures were pretty helpful (TMP link TMP link and now I'm working through a box of plastic infantry and cavalry to build the core of a Spanish army.

I didn't really solve the Spanish artillery problem, so I've come back to seek suggestions from the brain trust.

For artillery I'm not wedded to plastic miniatures, I'd be happy with metal miniatures. Does anyone make 20mm or "true 25mm" miniatures of Spanish artillery that will mix with 1/72 reasonably well?

If I can find guns for sale separately, French Gribeauval pieces are a straight swap, but I'm not aware of anyone selling 20mm (or small 25mm) French Napoleonic guns separately.

Depends how fussy you are – Irregular do a suitable gun and crew in bicorn with long-tailed coat in their 20mm Early Napoleonic range.NENA4

Use HaT 1805 French Artillery – close enough

Thanks! I've never heard of 42nd Black Watch figures before. It looks like that's because they didn't used to have a web site, and now do:
black-watch-miniatures.de

Holy CRAP but those are nice! I wish I could afford them. frown
