Impressive enough being able to keep a Panther in your basement but an 88 as well….!

The Germans are (in?)famous for having large underground storage areas.
My post in Germany had an entire WWII underground motorpool. Word was the place was packed with tanks and stuff like that, but filled with water, and dozens of trip wires running everywhere. When the army took the post, and decided to use it, they just came in and drops tons of concrete down the open entrances and sealed them off.

This was in general circulation a week or two back.

Nice to see the Telegraph is on the ball.

I was surprised it was so far north. It would have seemed perfectly reasonable in Franconia or Bavaria.

Just read about it yesterday. I understand the 84 year old guy is getting plenty of takers to sell the stuff to.

The Telegraph wants me to sign up, and probably give my first born, to read the article. That's not going to happen

Old Glory Sponsoring Member of TMP03 Aug 2021 4:25 p.m. PST

I will not sign up for anything myself to read an article -- period !!

Ditto Gamespoet and Old Glory.
But the discussion has pretty much told me the story.

Old news, at least that he had all of this in his basement, it was known about at least 6 years ago
