Not to blow my own trumpet but I am amazed at my output at present! Admittedly it is partially the result of the varnish queue that had accrued over the weeks but I do think that there is some acceleration with the old brush too!

More pictures of the unit and of the single bases can be seen on my blog here:

Here are a few tasters:

Athelling the painting wizard stikes again!

I'm presuming the large "quivers" on the hind quarters of two of the horses are javelins?

Jim

Wow, that is some really nice brush-work.

Yeah, they are Jim. Some of the many extras that come with the mini's.

Beautiful. I have one question: you have horses that look like "paints" from Western US for lake of a better term. Where there such "spotted" horses in Europe/Asia?

Basically no. My reasons are for choosing to paint them thus explained on my blog:

Thanks, I've used different paint schemes also to break monotony as I really don't like painting horses.

It wasn't so much to break the monotony, I actually like painting horses (there's always one LOL). With such large areas on a 28mm horse I find it hard not to go to town!

If I'm in a rush and need to bang them out I have been known to do a heavy drybrush followed by (a lot) of washes -these were for a game for Partizan 2020- which obviously never happened:
