There seems to be no end to new titles appearing these days. Do these authors and publishers not realize I have a mound on unread titles yet to plough through? LOL New book out end of September is MASSENA AT BAY 1811 by Tim Saunders. |

I had a massive clear out today. But then panicked and thought I could not dump these titles. So tomorrow up in the attic they go, in boxes, for a decade or two to come. How many books about Waterloo do you need? |

Dave Jackson It is a problem. And it will only get worse because I don't know about you but I just know I will end up buying that book and possibly others that may appear before my unread pile starts to decline. I guess it is a problem we just have to suffer. LOL |

deadhead You'd think you would not need that many on just one battle but my ever growing book collection includes 34 titles just on the Waterloo campaign! And that's not counting uniform titles. There is even another Waterloo title I recently became aware of that I am trying my hardest to resist. |

>>How many books about Waterloo do you need? Nil. Zero. Zilch, it's ten (model) years in the future…. >> …AT BAY … seems the favourite phrase of English picken authors… |

SHaT1984 Using AT BAY in the title may have been more down to the publishers than the actual author. They probably felt they needed a selling point, something that stands out. LOL Ideally, it would be great if there were as many books available as there are about Waterloo, that covered other battles, such as Austerlitz, Dresden etc. So for now, until that happens, if it ever does, I am happy to see new titles covering other actions and campaigns such as Saunders forthcoming title. |

I love pdfs and ebooks now, I dont have room for any new print books. Of course there are exceptions, Arnolds new book on 1806 was one. Helion has promised more ebooks. So once they do that I will be picking up lots of the ebooks from them. William |

I don't like them but I don't mind more ebooks just as long as they don't stop publishing print books. As for space, yes it is a problem, unless you actually have your own library, but with a bit of shuffling around, space can usually be made for more books. |

@Gazzola Yeah but I don't need multi-period battle reports; like joe I'm in need of, or at least, desire salacious details on the period in which I have greatest interest. Others are marginal, so I have no need of anything beyond 1809 which conventiently isn't that different to early Empire. And backwards introspection gives us guidance on the who, what and why of that evolution too. d |

It would be great if there were more titles forthcoming covering the battles and campaigns up to 1809. I guess we will just have to keep hoping that will happen. But at the same time, depending on sales, the more Napoleonic titles that are published the more chance the publishers might consider further Napoleonic titles, some (or a lot) hopefully, covering 1809 and before. |
