Rich, the Painting Wizard at Bastion Games, has finished painting the contents of the Warlord epic scale boxed set and it looks stunning laid out on the table. More pictures here link

Nice!

It does look impressive, and not dwarfed by the terrain.

All this is from the 1 Box set?
Quite a lot of components.

This is just the standard box with 24 regiments.

I have the whole deal with 30 regiments and a lot more buildings.

All in the painting queue.

Very nice, Anton.

Legend in Time Skip, Yes all of that is from the "big box" set that comes with the laser-cut barn and snake-rail fence as well as the rules.

Guys, I can't take credit for anything more than snapping the photo, the minis were painted by Rich who does the commission painting out of Bastion Gaming Center.

Update, I will be running a game of Blackpowder this Saturday 31JUL21 at 1pm, so anybody in the local area (north Metro Detroit) are welcome to drop by and command a division.

Reminds me of the American Heritage Civil War book with the great battle pictures featuring the small troops – I used to study those pictures for hours as a kid!

torokchar, the day that my Mom bought me that book was one of the foundational events that lead me to become a wargamer, the pictures with the numbered circles and annotated text that explained the events in sequence……good times!

+1 on that American Heritage book memory, and +2 on that layout. Very impressive.

Not enough trees. Nice looking otherwise.

+1 on that American Heritage book as well. My grandparents bought that for me one Christmas when I was 8 or 9. They would always sign the books with a date. I looked at that book so much, I broke the binding. I still have the one they signed and bought a new one to keep and look at with my kids.
