I have some Heroclix figs that I'd like to modify to create more, and in some cases, more dynamic, poses.

I'm thinking about trying to cast some parts in resin, e.g. arms, legs, heads, etc..

Is anyone else doing this, or have you done this?

If so, are you using a urethane, or other resin formulation, or a completely different material?

Seems like it would be a reasonable solution.

Of course, I guess I could just try to find some super-cheap Clix figs that are suitable, and do a bit of surgery as well, cutting off, and then grafting onto the new figs that I want to modify.

I've done a ton of 'Clix conversions, but I've never cast a piece for them. Usually, I cut, mod and reglue, often with a bit of greenstuff to fill the gap.

The key is to fine figures with very "open" poses. Here's my most extensive set of 'Clix convos:

There are a ton of them in this list, scattered through:

I think they're very easy figs to use for conversions and have tons of potential.

Wow, thanks for the info, and all the links to your various examples.

I really appreciate it.
