Hey Goober Some friends and I are starting a Fallout campaign. I was told I need a starter set and I'm also picking up the NCR core box set (because they look cool!). I'm confused about cards. I was told I need to buy cards for the NCR because the cards don't come in the box. Which cards will I need and, in the future, will they include the cards in the box sets (even though the minis are cool, you still need to purchase the cards – which can be a pain). Best wishes – TK30 |

I'm on Elder Scrolls, but I can check in with the Fallout guys on Monday. G. |

OK, so feedback from the team is that the cards for NCR are in the New Vegas expansion or stats for the units and weapons can be downloaded from link G |

We aren't planning on putting cards in unit boxes in future. It creates a big logistical headache for us as we manufacture our minis in house, but often get printing done elsewhere. Its not so bad if you outsource everything to one place, but we cook our own minis :-) Certainly for The Elder Scrolls I have also always been irritated that to get a certain unit card I had to buy a box of minis, and I never liked having cards spread out over multiple boxes. My intent was that if you buy one box of cards you have everything you need to support a whole Chapter of miniatures. Also, if you feel like proxying in some hairy Vikings as Stormcloak, or a box of EIR romans as Imperials you can do so with just a card pack, and visa versa if you feel like using our minis in some other game. Ok. After I posted this my friend gave me the same explanation. No matter how you look at it – it's a two edged sword. Someone also informed me that the cards are able to be downloaded – which I thought was nice. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Best wishes. TK30 PS – let me know if you transfer into the Fallout division. Then I can really bombard you with questions. 🤣 |
