I'm puzzled why this called "largely unknown", when I read about it in High School.
Ditto referring to the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 as "forgotten".

Ditto. Maybe unknown in Britain (Mr. Felton sounds British) but not in Americca. Especially the Russian invasion of Poland.

Invasion is a bit liberal with that term, French advances on a front doesn't make a invasion.

You got that right ! The ignorance of many of our history is astounding. As we see in some cases even tearing down statues. As opposed having historical markers, etc., explaining/discussing the who, what, why, when, how, etc., of this individual(s). Which must include the good, the bad and the ugly of history.

But again most don't know 💩 or care about history … even their own …
