I recently painted a commission for a WW2 Early War French Army, to play C of C. The main Infantry, Vehicles and Artillery were painted to my wargaming 'Warband' level, with the NCOs and Officers painted to my higher wargaming 'Call to Arms' level. It was such fun painting the French Greatcoats, I love the uniform style and all the different shades of green. Check out more photos and a write up here – link If you fancy a platoon (or Army) of your own then just let me know, I'm available for commissions from March 2022. Thanks guys!

You did a much better job on these than I did on mine. Nice work. |

Very nice indeed. I have these very same figures. Glad to see some one else doing early war French. |

How I wish they would do late war French. Naw. That is not true. Half the fun is converting figures to man 2e DB AFVs, with some of the most colourful markings of WWII, with some rather exotic crew uniforms aussi. |

The commission also came with some French Civilians and Lampposts too. These figures were painted to my wargaming 'warband' level. Thanks again guys!

They do look right for 1940. Not a great time to be a civilian in NE France and it shows. They are certainly not from August 25th 1944 in Paris, when expressions might have been more positive. |
