I notice that most 15mm figure lines do not include Guard figures. Is that because the differences between Line and Guard are so small that in 15mm you can't tell the difference?

The Guard infantry battalions wore uniforms of the same cut as those of the line. The differences were subtle ones in the lace and trim. As far as figures are concerned, up to 28mm there is little to tell them apart. It is in the painting that you bring out their status.

Sergeants had gold rank chevrons and lace.
