So thinking of this army, DBMM so big number of figures. Havn't been able to locate a "range" so far. and Google throws nothing but 1960s era results.

Has anyone done an army and can link me to some photos?

Or any suggestions for figures ranges? Sung chinese might work, date range is 900 to 1500 or so.

I like the look of Perry's Korean range but they could be to specific to repurpose.

Cheers,
Ben

I'd be very surprised if anyone has. Not that you asked, but here are some ideas of how Vietnamese pop culture have visualised their warriors (the accuracy of which is probably questionable; I don't think they have the same culture of mural paintings as the Thais and Khmers did?).

Thanks, thats helpful. Especially the first link.

These sort of images are quite useful for inspiration and justifying purchases. I did get a bit lost in the "culture" net with some results but not as good as yours.

And yeah would be niche niche niche for a figure company to do medieval Vietnamese so if I go ahead I suspect it will be a case of making do with whatever I can find. Perry "Koreans" are a possibility, bit later but possible contender.

There's some useful pictures on this "Vietnamese martial traditions" site, interspersed with more modern stuff: link

There is a huge thread at link but you may have to wade through it for pages and pages to find anything useful.

Finally link – jar at bottom right

Benvartok, I have a small pile of "Kensington" Sung Chinese figures that should work for you. I'd be glad to send them to you if you cover the postage. I have some photos that I can send you via email.
tork50s at comcast dot net if you are interested.

These came to me in a group purchase when I was searching and buying Ming Chinese. I have no use for them.

So, Mr Benvartok, it appears that once you make a post you never come back to it. Too bad.

I don't think he is able to.

Yeah, he got banned.

But to his credit, he did reply to moi, which is way better than this other fellow here: TMP link
