A Listing.

This post was gazzumped elsewhere by a rash of similarly looking/ named topics, so I'll confine myself to just the Media board.

I've always had a problem identifying, from given English texts, despite. much time spent on 'research'- the timelines and relationships of the complexities of coalitions, allied movements, campaigns, years and re-conquests over the same of near same paths.

No wonder someone built autobahns across Bavaria, certainly the Austrians used it like one!

So, well known and established but I felt worthy of highlighting:-

Combining passion for Napoleonic military history with technical skills and a desire for a better encyclopedia of French officers, Nathan D. Jensen designed and built this entire site as the architect, designer, and writer. As a historian, he is a Fellow of the International Napoleonic Society…

Site Inspiration and Purpose
"The inspiration for this site originally came from my frustration at not having a similar resource. While reading through numerous books on the Napoleonic Era, I would find myself coming across names that I recognized, but could not place. Had I seen that name attached to a division in a battle, or had this individual done something remarkable that made a good story? After obtaining some biographical dictionaries, my troubles were lessened, but it still wasn't enough. Such dictionaries are often limited in pictures and scope, only offering pictures of the most famous individuals, and usually covering only the most significant facts and events about an individual's life, which are oftentimes not the most interesting."

Keeping the military history of Napoleon's Empire and the French Revolution alive.

Good enough for me,

@Wargamorium
Sincere thanks for that.

The net is wide open, yet still a secret in plain sight!

@GamesPoet
Again Sincere thanks for that.
Yes I hope he maintains it for a long time as it is an acutely well defined site, unlike many of us amateurs,,, ;-)
cheers

Site has recently been updated with 10 more Biographies.

These are perhaps a little light on specific details, as I like to know how or 'as what' someone "was employed…".
Rank or position held is often relevant to future advancement, not just the proximity and number of wounds suffered. Or looking back, HOW did someone qualify for the role I am modelling them for. Agreed?

Lots of other useful information though,
cheers ~d~
