I avoid the summer and deep winter due to temperature when painting!

Yes. I tend to follow seasonal interests, often at roughly the time I either originally got interested or played a period. So, summer and Christmas tend to be WW2 desert, January-February I get the Pony Wars urge, September is AWI, that sort of thing. Probably a nostalgia thing. 😁
