Has anyone tried these? Any thoughts or comments? Are the rules grand tac and how far do the rules cover on the timeline?
Thank you for your help.

With any set of rules, the really important question, is how are figures based and size of units (smile).

I'm not seeing much feedback so I will give what limited I have…I bought them years ago and read through them (never played). I looked through my library and couldn't find them, pretty sure I sold them cheap at Wally's.

My impression was "meh", nothing that seemed innovative that I recall and mechanisms appeared clunky from reading. There seemed to be holes in the rules where fairly common events weren't really addressed. Units can be any sized. Basing 2 figures for skirmishers and cavalry, and 4 figures (in two ranks) for formed infantry. Cavalry were 3 stand units and infantry could be anything from 3 stands to about a dozen for a tercio. There wasn't any figure removal, but units took hits that would impair performance. Scale was roughly one figure equals 50 men. Scenarios covered the Italian Wars, conquest of Mexico and all the way up to TYW.

What are you interested in? Period? Scale? I have purchased many rulesets for the period of 1500-1690s. Most are "meh" but there are some good ones like Tercios by Liber Militum, For King and Parliament and In Deo Veritas. I like units as a base for my rules.
