Random, you are right and there is more than enough truth in the Mueller report to draw obvious and logical conclusions. Despite right wing insistence that the sky is not blue, Trump was never exonerated. It is not in the nature of moderate Americans to take to the streets. But it does happen and I think it will happen more and more. Scotland is not a big country, but 100,000 people coming out to protest half hearted efforts to fight climate change is an example of regular people who can think their way to logical assumptions and conclude they have had been had. There are a lot of center-right and center-left people in America. We now have Jan 6, complete with its own lost cause narrative, to live with. It is not like the other protests or riots. The very core of the nation, the symbol of hope, etc. Yet we cannot even run a bipartisan investigation. Someday it will be declared "now proven false" by some. We are exhausted by all this protesting. But I do not think it is over. |
