What if any, was the technical value of the "Shuvalov secret howitzers"? And why did the Russians limit it's use after the 7YW?

In theory the unusual design of the bore increased their killing power by enhancing dispersal of canister – in practice shot dispersal wasn't much different than conventional field pieces and they were slower to load; plus their bore design made it hard to use them for other types of ammunition so they were more work for no more effectiveness
