The AOTF games for Hurricon 2021 have been added to the game grid and registered attendees can get tickets at link The lineup is:

TSUSHIMA May 27, 1905 – The epic naval battle of the Russo-Japanese War recreated using the new naval wargame rules, ADMIRAL OF THE FLEET (AOTF), created by the authors of SEEKRIEG 5. This is the public debut of AOTF which combines fast-play combat with a unique card-based command/signal system. Friday 9/24 0900-1300

DOGGER BANK January 24, 1915 – The first fleet action of WW1 in the North Sea is re-created using the new naval wargame rules, ADMIRAL OF THE FLEET (AOTF), developed by the authors of SEEKRIEG 5. This is the public debut of AOTF which combines fast-play combat with a unique card-based command/signal system. Friday 9/24 1400-1800

FRANKENDORSKI 1943 (What to do with leftovers?) – March 26, 1943 (sort of) – The creators of ADMIRAL OF THE FLEET (AOTF) have done horrible things to the historic naval Battle of Komandorski in order to introduce players to AOTF. This is #3 of the public debut of AOTF which combines fast-play combat with a unique card-based command/signal system. Saturday 9/25 0900-1300

"combines fast-play combat with a unique card-based command/signal system"

I look forward to hearing more about these rules…

More info about AOTF will be posted in the coming weeks, Nick, but you may want to consider attending HURRICON and see it for yourself. HMGS-South puts on top-notch conventions twice each year and this one is looking like a real barn-burner due to pent-up demand. Four of the eight slots for the AOTF Dogger Bank game are taken already. Hope to see you there!

Five of the eight for Tsushima are gone. I am predicting a full house for all three games.

Bozkashi Jones29 Jun 2021 3:24 a.m. PST

I'd love to Admiral Rich but unfortunately I'm in the UK. I look forward to any reports coming out of it though; WW1 fleet rules which replicate command and control problems is intriguing and something I'm really interested in.

Cheers

Nick

You are probably right about that, Marc. As of this morning there is only one slot left for Tsushima and three remaining for Dogger Bank. Looks like I'll have to bring alot more of the free AOTF M&Ms.

Admiral Rich08 Jul 2021 3:41 a.m. PST

No worries, Nick. If you are really interested, please email me via my SEEKRIEG.COM website.

Bests,
Rich

I'm interested in the rules. Are there any reviews or youtube videos about how to play?

Admiral Rich23 May 2022 3:57 a.m. PST

Dave,

There are now reviews posted on Wargame Vault, Board Game Geek and some on Facebook as well. There is also an overview on YouTube at youtu.be/CUcy1mqD47U Admiral of the Fleet Overview
