In which the author actually gets into a real miniatures wargame with real human beings, playing one of his favorite periods, using some of his own troops, too! A great time was had!

The rules were Iron Ivan games' Disposable Heroes, Primera Batalla. It was great fun to A) get some units off the shelf that never have been used before, and B) actually play a real historical wargame with real people once again after a year and some change!

My favourite period. Great to see more people playing it.

Nice AAR. I like the game mat, Terrycloth?

FusilierDan: I think it was some kind of fleecy blanket, with gym pads underneath it for low hills. It worked really well.

thanks for sharing this! What an interesting piece of history, looks fun to play. I was just wondering, what is the CAI? If you meant the CNT, then they're not exactly different factions….but I'll save the discussion about organizational dualism for another thread. Beautiful work on the figures and terrain, I'm jealous of those houses.

Probably CNT. They weren't my figures, and I forgot what he called them.
