Seen at a local festival this weekend.

Nice, local where? I've got a fair few pics of Aussie armour and Arty in use from the 90s.

Great that people are allowed to climb on and into the vehicles. I can just see myself as one of those kids, eyes wide open!

Isn't that the museum where the WWII Panther went to that was seen being re-built on "Combat Dealers" tv show?

chironex06 Jun 2021 5:19 p.m. PST

No museum in sight. These are current vehicles used by the Royal Australian Army.

Good photo's, Chironex. And for the first time in decades I'll bet there wasn't a 'rover in sight. Was this at Lavarack or over at the stadium?

BTW, have you got the vehicles and figures for "Kursk at Northgate" yet. :-)

@ Wargaimz, that Panther's probably at the Armoured and Artillery Museum in Cairns (215 miles north of Townsville), but could be the RAAC museum in Puckapunyal. I haven't seen the show and don't think we get "Combat Dealers" here.

Cheers.

I believe that Panther maybe in the Armour museum in Cairns

Hours northward, by whatever conveyance you choose. The only tank in Townsville is one solitary M-1.

The festival was at Andersons Gardens.

@dmebust, there are disadvantages. Such as my shots being full of children…
