An Illinois-based maker of military vehicles agreed to pay $50 USD million to resolve allegations that it defrauded the Marine Corps with inflated prices during a contract modification for a suspension system on armored vehicles, the Department of Justice said Thursday… Under those provisions, a private party can file an action on behalf of the United States and receive a portion of any recovery, and Burgess will receive a little more than $11 USD million out of the settlement, the DOJ said.

Meanwhile here in the Fascist Republic of Australia whistleblowers get charges and face gaol despite some lame legislation that seems to be ignored. One tax department whistleblower faced up to 160 years in gaol for dobbing in illegal tax collection practices.

I hope our first Space Marine commander gets the same recognition and whistleblower status, as well as high compensation for his bravery in calling out what is going on in our military.
