European countries such as France, Germany and Sweden are questioning Denmark as to why it helped USA spy on them.

Interesting, when I visited Denmark a few years back I had the opportunity to speak to some Danish military members including some from elite units. Some incredibly interesting stories and views on their domestic and foreign policies.

Perhaps because in the last 250 years the USA has never attacked Denmark but other European nations can't say the same?

It's all part of a secret deal involving massive quantities of Lego…

Perun, just stories of jihadist and foreign agents lurking about Denmark and their encounters with them. I think their position within the Northern European waterways meant that they had agents provocateur probing around. It is as interesting to hear about things like that and how the Danish laws are different than American when it comes to law enforcement and national security.

The majority of the every day people I spoke to in casual conversations seemed very resentful of the EU policies for placement of refugees within their borders. What was ironic was that alot of the Danes I spoke to that felt that way were themselves immigrants (but ones who acculturated within society). I guess when people learned I was American thats what they wanted to chat about.

So perhaps the realpolitik circumstances help influence the Danes decisions as to who they help.

The USA has never attacked these European countries either:
Portugal, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro. You could add France as the US was only at war with Vichy France. You could add Belgium and the Netherlands too as these were wars of liberation against Germany.
The USA has only been at war with Germany, Austria-Hungary, Britain, Spain and Italy in the last 250 years.

+1 de Ligne … A little history lesson is always a good thing to help make sense of what is going on currently or even the most recent past.

After watching "Gangs of London" I have a different view of the Danish Military.

Norway is forgotten among the 4 countries concerned by the spying

sorry but France nor Norway too never attacked Denmark in the last 250 years, and even more 300 years…
Norway and Denmark were even the same crown and kingdom until 1814
