His retirement house in Saluda,VA is still standing and a private residence. There was some effort in 2015(?) to raise
funds to purchase it and make it a museum. Last asking price
was 395,000. There is a Virginia tourist website that has
pictures of the interior of the house. Even gives directions
for those who want to drive by it. House last sold for 315,000
in 2007.
