October of 1937 in Shanghai Saw the movie on a recent flight TMP link A little background on it – link Enjoyed the film – but was surprised when I saw Chinese Troops outfitted with German equipment (524th Regiment of the 88th Division – Trained and equipped by Germans) possible Order of Battle – link Question is – Do you have any Chinese Troops outfitted with German Equipment? A – Yes B – No C – No but plan to D – HUH |

And yes, the Chinese did have a lot of German equipment they bought from Germany, before WWII. |

Way back in high school one kid argued with me that the Japanese were using German equipment (his 'proof' was a propaganda poster showing Japanese troops in German stahlhelms.) I told him that if the Germans had shipped the Japanese any such helmets, the Japanese would have melted them down for the steel… LOL |
