Work is progressing well on my Imjin River board for the refight of the Glosters last stand in April 1951 during the Korean War. It's a 6ft by 4ft at a scale of 1:4000 or 25mm to 100m. I have finished the contouring process and applied a top layer whilst maintaining the shape of all the hills. I added edging to protect the boards and ensured the board joins flow without too much of a gap. So far, fingers crossed, stands placed in test locations have not slipped excessively and I am not anticipating this being an issue with the finished board. Next step is flocking. Have an older Marine Friend who served with K/11/1 at Udamni and fought through the breakout. That board looks worse than the terrain at Toktong Pass during the Chosin Campaign. WOW, some awesome work so far. Look forward to seeing it completed. |

Man, those are some really nicely engineered modular sections. Very tight seams. Great work on the topography as well! |
