Having just finished this very readable history of the naval war on Lake Ontario during the War of 1812, I've posted a review and thoughts on the book.

You would be interested in the June article "A Very Gallant Affair" in Naval History magazine (USNI press). It describes successful British actions on Lake Huron at the end of the War of 1812.
