I have a set of Pendraken' "Warband Goblin Army Pack" that I have painted up to use as Goblins in my 15mm Goblin army. They paint up quite fast. Size wise, they are almost identical to the Demonworld goblins that I have, which I like even better, but havent painted up yet. ( the old issue of what color to paint their skin… arg, I had just convinced my self to paint them the 1st edition D&D color of Yellow to orange to even Brick red, and I had painted up a few test models, which I really liked, but then my young boy who thinks playing orcs and goblins is more fun then playing elves convinced me to paint the Goblin skin green ( I went a light sage green type color)) Any way, I painted the Pendraken up with green skin, and when I get back to painting orcs and goblins, I may paint the Demonworld Goblins with the orange to red skin. (note: my orcs get a yellowish, yellowish brownish greyish skin tone, and of coarse 15mm orcs are larger, ( much larger if you use any of the Battlevalor Orcs).
I have considered buying other 10mm orcs from other 10mm companies to use for Goblins in my 15mm armies, but so far, I havent yet.( so many minis to paint, and now that I am 3d printing miniatures from the 10mm Patreon Forest Dragon, scaled up to 15mm, maybe sometime in my next life, I will be able to catch up on my painting,
I also have a set of Pendraken High Elf Calvary that I have psinted up to use as 15mm Halflings, the size is about right for them also. But as I have posted in one of Sgt Slag's Posts… I have no Gnomes, No Gnomes.. that kind of rhymes.. No gNomes.
Im not a Warhammer player, so I havent thought of 15mm Night Goblins? and havent seen those Pendraken 10mm Night Orcs, I might have to buy a set of them though, they look fun.
I have also done a little testing of 3d printing a few 28mm miniatures as 15mm ( I actually prefer the 15/18mm closer to 18mm miniatures, which both Demonworld and Battlevalor are closer to the 18mm size, which I like.
PS.. A army of green goblins and a army of orange/red skinned goblins would be perfect to have different tribes fighting each other.
One of the things about 3d printing is you can scale to any size you want almost. For fantasy wargaming, I made the choice of 15mm instead of 10mm or 1/72, or 25, or 28 which is now 32 or 35, but like I said, I like the 18mm sized 15's better then the true 15mm, ( I can put a black dot on the eyes on most 18mm, but most true 15mm sized faces on historical miniatures which I substitute for human soldiers, are not sculpted good enought to make dots for eyes worth it. 1/72 (25mm) would be quite a nice scale, if there were more current choices in actively supported manufacturers. I have a lot of Battlevalor miniatures, which is is actively having more new sets made for it, which is something to be said, as most of the 10mm, 1/72, 25mm dont have new material being actively created.
