And that would be today, actually. Auf wiedersehen, Bismarck!

It took years of labour and tens of thousands of tons of steel to build, and over 2 000 men to crew her. And for all that effort, she fought just a single brief campaign on the Atlantic, sinking HMS Hood, before her time was done.
